| I've been terrible with update, I know. However, I don't think anyone looks at this anyway. Still I'll put some stuff that I've done recently.
This is Tara. She's an original character created by me.

Then I inked it.

And finally, some colors, using Adobe Photoshop CS2.

Then, I wasn't happy with this. The colors on the skin were too cold, I thought, so after some helpful suggestions from a fellow artist, I tweaked it:

So, you have the rare view of the entire process from conception to full colors. I rarely color things and finish it, because I get frustrated with it after a short while. I'm trying to get better at digital coloring though, so hopefully they'll be more colors to come.

| It's been a few semesters since I've taken figure drawing, and I'm
definitely rusty. These sketches were to help me get back in the groove.

Here's a close up of the guy's face. He's my elfin character, Seiahn.

Well, what do you know. I scanned some sketches in to post here.
I drew these for my photo montage assignment in Advanced Photography class.
They're inked with micron pens.

It's hard to believe this started out as me trying to draw an modern version of Snow White.
Instead I ended up with what a girl of seemingly Japanese ethnicity, wearing pearls. I like it, though.

| - Skin So I've had this account for a while now. I don't post here because I
have two other web blogs that I'm trying to update on a regular basis.
ramblings in between - My personal blog. I ramble on about daily things and post pics of things that are of interest to me.
artystic internment - Chronicles my experiences interning at a local advertising agency.
I'm thinking of using this account as a sketch blog. That would
encourage me to draw more so that I have things to post on a
regular basis. It seems like a good idea.
I'll try it for a bit and see how it goes.
